The Bouquet (9) in Lenormand: meaning and combinations

A bunch of flowers tied with a ribbon, offered rather than growing. The Bouquet is the card of gifts and appreciation: an invitation, a compliment, a kind gesture, a pleasant surprise. It also stands for beauty and charm, and for the feeling of being noticed by someone. It is one of the brightest cards in the deck, and it tends to make the cards beside it friendlier.

In tradition

Traditionally the Bouquet is read as a gift, a pleasant visit, joy and good wishes. Old guides call it a card of happiness in a social sense: being welcomed, invited, thanked. It is also read as beauty, art and good taste. The inset is the queen of spades, which gives some readers a person reading as well: a charming, socially gifted woman. Near the central card it is said to point to pleasant company; beside a hard card it is read as something that softens the blow.

How Falyora reads it

In first position the Bouquet is the gift or gesture, and the next card tells you its form. Bouquet then Letter is a written invitation or a thank-you note. In second position it adds appreciation and warmth: Fox then Bouquet is work that gets recognised, Book then Bouquet is a pleasant surprise you did not see coming.

Falyora does not read the Bouquet as luck; that is the Clover's job. The Bouquet is about how people treat each other, and it mostly describes being seen and valued by someone in particular.
